I won a competition

I entered I Made This Competition held at the Future Fashion Now event in St Kilda, Melbourne, showcasing Melbourne fashion designers, suppliers, and crafty-persons that apply environmental/ethical principles to their creations.

I entered a few of my recycled craft projects, but it was my plastic bottle cuffs that won the prize

What did I win? Vouchers to do a course, Craft Victoria membership, and membership for the Resource Rescue Inc, a place for 'eco-friendly art materials'. Hooray!

Also worth mentioning are the two other competition winners.

A zipper brooch which was coincidentally made by a friend of mine

A tweed skirt, transformed into a capelet, made by Katrina in NZ that blogs over at OffSquare

Wrapping gifts with doily and lace

A gift for my friend's baby shower; a book I have put together. I thought of a creative way to wrap her book, using a doily and lace, both thrifted, from my collection.

So much prettier than shop bought gift wrap, and reusable too!
