A new addition arrived in the family a week and a half ago. Prior to his arrival, I made a few decorations for his room, one of which being a raincloud softie wall hanging. I've seen a few similar designs online, and thought I'd have a go at making my own.
I've used all reclaimed material, sourced from opportunity shops; the coloured yarn, material, embroidery thread, sewing thread, even the sequins.
I've wrapped a stick from the yard in rainbow coloured yarn, and fabric-glued sequins onto each raindrop.
I didn't follow a pattern, just drew a cloud shape onto the back of a cereal box and raindrops to use as templates.

Giraffe Rattle #2
Can't get enough of these little cuties. Another friend had a baby last week, so I'll give you three guesses as to what I made today? Title (and link) gave it away, no?
This material was gifted to me by my Mum. I didn't mention last time, but the embroidery thread for eyes and nose - thrifted, as is the thread I use for sewing, always thrifted, never new.

Giraffe Rattle
I saw these giraffe rattles on pinterest, which inspired me to make one for a friends new baby boy. I didn't have a pattern but it isn't a difficult shape to copy.
I used leftover fabric from my tablecloth dress, craft ribbon, a jingle bell, and a mixture of fabric scraps and poly fill.
