I won a competition

I entered I Made This Competition held at the Future Fashion Now event in St Kilda, Melbourne, showcasing Melbourne fashion designers, suppliers, and crafty-persons that apply environmental/ethical principles to their creations.

I entered a few of my recycled craft projects, but it was my plastic bottle cuffs that won the prize

What did I win? Vouchers to do a course, Craft Victoria membership, and membership for the Resource Rescue Inc, a place for 'eco-friendly art materials'. Hooray!

Also worth mentioning are the two other competition winners.

A zipper brooch which was coincidentally made by a friend of mine

A tweed skirt, transformed into a capelet, made by Katrina in NZ that blogs over at OffSquare

  1. Yay for you! Congrats x

  2. Huge congrats how good must you feel?I also tried clicking that Offsquare link but it didnt work xx

  3. Nelly - it is a great feeling! Thanks for letting me know about the link, I fixed it

  4. You're a very talented lady, you deserve it all. Thanks for the mention too :)

  5. Well done, although totally deserved! Love those cuffs, it is such a great idea. I like it when good things happen to good people, enjoy your prize :)
